I'm Back! Sort of. Maybe. Idk

Probably, hopefully--look, no promises

I’m back. Well, sort of. I will be back. I guess, writing this post is either me “back”. Or, me letting you know I’m coming back. Who cares? Me, clearly.

Did you miss this? I sure did.

Where have I been?

Physically?

From Seoul to Dubai to Cape Town to Durban to Cairo to Luxor back to Cairo to Sturbridge, Massachusetts.

Yes, I’ll be writing about all that. Particularly about why the Burj Khalifa is somehow both a surrogate hard-on for small-dicked oil barons and a middle finger to God.

I think—probably, I’m going to be writing about travel here more. I’m about to be moving around a lot so, eh, makes sense, right?

Work/writing-wise?

Still writing my column for Lustery POV.

Doing content monkey bullshit for various clients.

Working on a graphic novel pitch.

In a year-long workshop at SmokeLong Quarterly.

And trying to start a company.

No, we’re not profitable yet.

So, yes, I’m still blowing strangers.

Life-wise?

I mean. You saw that final destination there, right? Sturbridge. Everything closes by eight and our main attraction is a colonial village with actors who take their jobs way too seriously and definitely fuck in those outfits. No—now you mention it—none of them are black.

In fact, no one in this town is a shade darker than the “are-you-sure?” setting on all the tanning beds. I’m fairly certain there are cameras on all the streetlights going in and out of town so if you’re not an upper-middle-class white person who golfs, they never turn green. 

It’s not racist—just New England.

So, here for a bit then making a move to Europe.

I am going to try to write more here. I have a lot on my plate at the moment. But need to push myself to write more of my personal stuff. So I’ll be aiming to write shorter essays. Possibly publishing more frequently.

Any preference?

a.     Shorter – more often

b.     Longer – less often
